Ethan is currently enrolled at the Yale School of Drama (MFA in Directing ex. 2013) where he recently directed Julius Caesar, Basement Hades, Trannequin! a new musical and new plays by classmates Justin A. Taylor and Martha Jane Kaufman.  As Co-Artistic Director of the inaugural Santa Fe Theater Festival (summer 2009), Ethan directed Proof and Iphigenia and Other Daughters.  Other directing includes: The Gay Ivy (Dixon Place), in a word, Pullman, WA, The Morpheus Quartet and Orton Play (Williamstown Workshop), Ardo Ardo and L'Orfeo (Yale Baroque Opera Project), In Transit (Yale Sudler), In Bocca Alla Lupa (Grotto Theatre), Peter Pan and The Wind in the Willows (Friends Seminary), Episcus and Edendus and The Panda Is Not My Friend (Lively Productions).  He has assisted Mark Brokaw on Pregnancy Pact (YIMT), Nicholas Martin on Our Town (Williamstown), John Guare on House of Blue Leaves (Mark Taper), Thomas Kail on Broke-ology (Williamstown), Gilbert Blin on Acis and Galatea (BEMF), and Annette Jolles on Amahl and the Night Visitors (Avery Fisher) and Jerusalem Syndrome (NYMF). As an undergraduate at Yale, Ethan directed and choreographed The Pirates of Penzance, john&jen, L'Elisir d'Amore, Street Scene, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde and A Little Night Music. In 2005-2006, he toured the world with the Whiffenpoofs, singing more than 200 concerts in 25 countries.
